hi yall. i just noticed this light this morning. when i started Blue, i saw a rear anti lock vrake light come on, then go off, like a system check thing or whatever. anyway, i know i have rear abs, but when it activates, does the light come on? or if there is a failer, the light comes on? just wondering, because of my wreck last month, i have no idea if the rear abs activated or not, but i never saw the light come on....oh, Blue is repaired now, just waiting for my EE spec airdam and off the paint shop Blue goes..

pretty sure thats just a check..maybe the bulb was out for a while and they fixed it after the wreck. The light should only come one with the truck running if theres a problem I would think.

core sup go on evenly ?
Congratulations man.

I am unsure what could have caused the code.
Check with the shop you are taking it to for the paint see if they have an ABS reader.

Its a failure light for sure. It came on in my '92 Ranger after I plowed some lady. Never did fix it though. The brakes still worked and I just traded it in. :D

The ABS light on the dash is a warning light to tell you if the system is malfunctioning. When you start the vehicle, it will turn the ABS light on for a second or two to tell you the system is functioning. If the light goes out after a second or two, the system is fine. If it stays on, there is a problem with the ABS system. It does not light up when you are braking hard enough for the ABS to kick in.

The ABS light should always come on when you first start your X. Like you thought, it is a system check. If it remains lit or flashes there is a problem with the ABS.

abs warning light? hehe, on mine it come on to tell me the abs didnt work during mine panic stop, ya as if the blue smoke comin off all 4 tires wasnt enough.
