Front wheel bearing noise is common problem, particularly because they are a sealed unit inside the hub, and they cannot be serviced. The hub assembly must be replaced. Unfortunately replacements often fail prematurely because the half shaft (axle) nut isn't replaced and tightened to the correct torque specification. The threads must be clean and dry before the new nut is installed in order to achieve the correct torque. Any lube or oil on the threads will result in a false torque reading. Never use and impact wrench to tighten anything and never use a torque wrench to remove a nut or bolt. Ford recommends replacing certain nuts and bolts when you do this procedure, DON'T SCRIMP. Use a hub puller to remove the hub assembly, don't beat it with a hammer. You must use a torque wrench for this procedure and for that matter every time you do any repairs on your car, including tightening your lug nuts. Do not Lubricate threads for easy removal next time
