ok ok I'm wondering how many people have tried this Ive seen spacers in auto parts stores the puh the wheels out. I'm wondering if it did anything to help stability or did it just help in the looks. I'd like to get them but not to sure if they are worth it.

Bad idea if you ever go offroad. They're aluminum and thus weak. Plus, they put excessive stress on your wheel bearings up front.

just wanted to add to Dale's comment... they are supposedly bad for the bearings and the wheels in general driving - doesn't have to be 4wheeling.

I've added 1.5" spacers to my 99 Explorer Sport and they've worked fine. I only use them for the summer with my Cobra R Rims and Pirelli tires (285/60R17). In the winter I take them off and use the stock rims. If you want to get spacers, I would recommend the H&R spacers.
