i believe the stock rims are +44 offset ( not 100% )

but i think if you buy rims with less offset the rim will be wider, and give a better stance...

IMO i wouldnt buy wheel spacers cause they just put more stress on the axles...

hopefully someone else will chime in on this lol

Well what wheels do you have? If you are still using stock wheels, why would you think you would have a wider stance :p:

You have some aggressive tires, just get a decent set of wheels, ditch the wheel spacer idea. Let's see some pics of your lifted X.

i think i did this right

and yea i still riding stock rims.
i was thinking about going with the 3" body lift and try to push 33s with my lil V6.
thats plans for the summer tho.

your X looks really good !

i would totally ditch the spacer idea, only cause it would cause more harm then good down the road... plus u may decide u want new wheels, and could just buy a wider rim that will fit 265's

how would i be able to tell
would the off set be lower then +44

i believe if a rim set has for example an OFFSET of ( +20 )...

the rim will be wider... i think when GOATMAN put a set of ranger rims on his X the offset was ( +20 ) and he said it eliminated the need for spacers for his personal taste i would imagine...

i guess im gonna look into getting some new shoes for the x.
thanks for all your help

no prob fella

CRAGER SOFT 8's are IMO cool rims, that are very affordable... just a suggestion...

You won't be able to do 33's on just a 3" body lift without some major front end bumper trimming....and I mean a lot. Look at my Before & After page, I put some pictures up right after I did my 3" body lift and stuck my 33's on...I couldn't turn my wheels more than 40% without them rubbing.

Also, you're going to run into problems putting 33's on the stock rims anyway, not do you need a wider rim (stock are what...7" wide?), the offset is all wrong for a 33" tire, they would be way too wide inside the wheel well. You would need a reverse offset wheel.

P.S. Your lil V6 will do just fine on 33's...that's all I have and I have towed Jeep's and done some major offroading. I still don't understand why people question the power of their 4.0L engines...they are extremely strong and durable. It really comes down to your gearing more than the motor. If you have 3.73 factory gearing (tow package) then you're golden, if you have the 3.55 factory gearing...you will struggle a little on 33's.

I think i have the 3.73 gearing but im not 100% sure.
so your saying even with the 2" spacer lift, the 3" BL, and 33's, that i would still have mad front bumper trimming.
And i plan on getting rid of the stock rims, or just keeping them on the 265s as back up tires

No, if you do a 2" spacer lift and the 3" body lift, you will clear your 33's. Your post above said that you were just gonna go for the 3" body lift and 33's so that's why I commented.

Albeit they will likely still rub at about 90-95% turn if you don't trim the very inside corner of the fender towards the engine bay...but this has a large part to do with the type of tires you get as well as the offset and width of the wheel.

My lift is a total of 5.25" and with my 285/75/16 (33") Nitto Terra Grapplers I had a little rub at full turn, so I simply trimmed about 1/2" off the inside corner of my fender, and all is good...depending on the tires you get, you may not need to trim, although I have a slightly higher lift than the one you're anticipating doing.

Depending on how you want the truck to look, I would still suggest keeping your rear lift .50" smaller than the front spacers...to level the factory rake of the truck...it will keep things looking good and even. So in your case, I would do 2" front spacers and 1.50" rear spacers.

Quick way to tell if you have the 3.73 gearing, is if you have a factory installed hitch with a 2" Class III receiver as well as the 7-pin (circle) light connector. If you have the smaller Class II hitch without the 7-pin connector then you have the 3.55 gearing. The Explorer's with the tow package are the only ones that came with the 3.73 gearing which has the Class III hitch.

Another way to see if you have it, is if you have the axle code D4 on your VIN....that would mean you have the 3.73 gears.

i have the 2" class III receiver
And i already have the 2" RB lift on my truck.
