So as far as Moab is concerned, how many people do we have planning on leaving from Denver? Seems like we might have a couple groups leaving at different times. (thurs and friday)

I'll be heading down there sometime Thursday. Not sure what time I'll head out, but I have that extreemly lenghty 2 hour drive : so I should be there before dark.

Does anyone know where I could rent or better yet borrow a trailer big enough to take 1-1/2 vehicles??????

I think Patrick would like to take his Sami if I had a trailer big enough.

Well, I'll be heading out in the late afternoon on Thurs. around 3pm or so depending on if I get my gear packed up before I go to work. I mad pretty good time last year but I can't remember how long it took.

I'm hoping on getting into Canyonlands with enough time to meet up with whoever is doing fins 'n things on Fri. That's my goal for this trip. I vote that a few days before we all head out that some of us swap numbers and final tally when we're heading on the road.... that way if caravan plans don't work we can agree on a CB channel and keep an eye out for one another. (Perry you are the least likely for anyone to confuse your ex with a grocery getter.... along with the rest of you on 33"+ tires )

There is a chance we will be using the Excursion to tow this year if my dad sells his truck but I have seen pictures of the same thing.

Now that Moab's getting closer, I'm trying to put my plan together. For those that are planning on leaving from Denver, what time do you plan on heading out? Sounds like Thursday afternoon is popular. I was thinking that we should meet up somewhere along I-70, that way it doesn't matter if you're coming from the north or south. I agree we should have a 'Colo Contingent' CB channel for convoying. If you like, I'll start a roster with everybody's phone numbers and truck description. Then I'll send it out before the trip.

Sounds good to me. I'm flexible with when I'm leaving... I work in Aurora (Alameda and Buckley) so I'll probably work till 1 or 2 pm and leave from there at that time. I've got a slightly modded White Ex Sport Trac and I'll PM ya with more info. Thanks man.

I agree... May sure came quick. As mentioned before; it's a bummer that you won't be along. I'll be taking alot of pictures although I won't have a co-driver so hopefully I'll still get some good shots. We'll have to go wheelin' somewhere more local one of these days .

I think I saw some cool photos of your truck on traildamage... unless there's another purple Ex who's ripping off your calling card .

Hey becker I want to do slaughterhouse (again) on Sunday, to make sure the BII is Moab ready.
I have been to slaughterhouse about 5 times already this year, two weeks ago it was 80% open, so the snow should be gone 100% by now.

I will be up there sunday mid morning (10-12ish)


I am borrowing a dvd burner video cam from my buddy for moab this year.....

I am PLANNING to leave denver Thurday after work, around 3-5pm, it is always a mad rush to get finished and hit the road so I cannot commit to a firm time to meet up, but if anyone is leaving around the same time I would be down to caravan, or if you see me on the highway I have a CB usually on channel 19 for highway use........

Perry, so sad you guys cant make it but believe me I understand...I have 5 more payments to the friggin IRS (dont ask) and going this year is cutting it REALLY close........I dont have any kids to sell so I have been scrounging and borrowing so I can make this trip

This summer lets wheel, I have addicted my new GF to 4wheeling, so she has me going just about every other weekend....I am bringing her to Moab so um yeah I expect her addiction to get worse....

there is also a "clean up" effort going on Sunday at Left Hand canyon, Carnage Boulder... but I cant make this, too far from me
