Wider tires on Ex?

After two failed attempts to get some Toyo's up here to AK. I decided to go with the original Michelins in 275/55/18. I just picked it up today, but need to take it back and have it rebalanced. I get alittle vibration at 70+mph.:(

Was there any rubbing with those 275/55's ?

jupiterak - Would you be willing to post some pictures of how your new tires look on the stock rims ?

I'll take some pics after work today

I have 265 70 17 BF Goodrich All Terrian tires on my rig. The best tire for towing, rain, snow, dirt, sugar sand whatever. Dont rub.

Everyone here says the 02-up Explorer can fit 32" tall tires stock with no lift. So I guess you could go with a 275/65-18 (31.5 tall, stock F150 FX4) no problem. That would look mean. I currently have 31" tall (255/70/17) tires on mine with no rubbing... and it looks like a REAL truck now!

265/65/18 no rubbing and the spare went up under the truck. How it all fit I'm still confused.

Just installed 265/65/18 yesterday and fits and looks great. No rubbing either perfect size
