windshield problems

my 1993 ford explorer windshield is comming loose, it looks like it has slid down about an inch, and some trim flew off while i was on my way to browns camp in oregon. How hard is it to reinstall my windshield and how do you? also would it just be easier to take it to a shop and have them do it? duct tape has so many uses.

Are you sure you are using the correct terminology?

The glass on the front?

The glass on the front should never ever move. The moulding could well have blown off and that would make it LOOK like it has slid down an inch.

Get inside the truck and push out on the glass. If it moves call a glass professional to get it reinstaled. If it doesnt move you are fine and you should just replace the moulding.

I would NOT drive a vehicle with an unattached windshield.

Winshiled is an intrical part of the truck, if it's loos fix it fast.

Maybe just the seal or the moulding on to as M said. or worst rust under the seal.

Like mine was, but it caused a leak.
