I am putting a Superlift 4in Superunner System with Superide Shocks on my 1994 Ford Explorer.
I was interested in getting the following tires and wheels and was wondering if they would fit without any trimming. I read the sticky about tire sizes but wanted a more exact answer.

Im getting these wheels:

Rock Crawler Series 97
  • 15x10, 5 on 5 Bolt Pattern ; Backspacing = 3.75 in. ; Finish = Black Powder Coat

And these tires:

Pro Comp Radial Mud Terrain Tire, 33x12.50R-15
  • Radial Mud Terrain, 33/12.50R15; Outlined White Letters; Overall Diameter = 32.50; Rim Range = 8.0-10.0; Load Range = C; Max Load = 2205; Tread Depth = 20.5/32;

I dont plan on doing any extensive off roading maybe just some playing in the mud. And the rest of the time will be on-road.

Thanks for any help.

Your lug pattern is 5 on 4.5" so those wheels won't fit. The backspacing is fine, but if you get a 15x10" wheel with 33x12.5 tires you'll have to trim a little on the rear of the front fender for rubbing issues while turning. If you get 15x8" wheels you shouldn't have to trim anything.

Good luck.

what if i got the same wheel except in the correct bolt pattern and Radial Mud Terrain, 32/11.50R15 instead?

im not set i was just wondering. what would look best with 11.5" tire?. 8'' wheels?

Yeah. The 8" with the 3.75 back spacing will work real good. But if you're going with the 8" wheel, then you could go with the 33x12.5 tire which will look just like this.

This is my first explorer right after I put a 4" lift with 15x8" wheels with 3.75 back spacing and 33x12.5 bfg ATs on it. I didn't have to trim anything.

What Froader said. I'm running 33 x 12.5's on the stock rims, and it's fine. I probably should be about an inch wider to be perfect on the rims. BTW, I didn't have to trim either.
