Yeah, he kept messing with me, pretending he was going to let go. He probably didn't because there was no place for him to go if he did let go...
He also probably knew he would end up in it too if he did it.

acually at the time that pic was taken i was walking back to reattatch the cable to the other dlink, caus it was tipping to far to the drivers side.

Not dissin ya dude, I worked logging during the summers when I was at Humbolt state in Norcal, I learned a very healty respect for any rope, cable, or chain thats under tension, be carefull,JMHO

Heh, yeah that spot is deep. I saw a full size chevy hydro lock there a while back. It's harder to tell where you are when that area is more flooded. Good to see you got out.

Yeah that was a good stuck. The second I saw that sink i was on the CB for a winch. No delays it obviously was needed. Infact there was talk of a second winch. You still havent seen the worst of that though as it was far deeper prior to those pics.

Now synthetic cables
There is a comercial for them that airs sometimes. Has a guy straddling one as its betwen 2 bulldozers in a tug of war. The cable snaps and falls straight to the ground. I know all about ropes ;ashing back but that one is designed sepcificaly not to, hense they are required in some cases

The top two pictures of my second page are my worst stuck so far. Note the non-visible front tire and almost buried rear. A fullsize Chevy couldnt get me out, But a truggy (454 long block with a turbo and tractor tires) pulled me out real nicely.

Heh, i went off-roading with my STOCK '91 when i first got it. My friend who was spotting put me right in a mud hole. Even the F-350 Deisel couldn't pull me out. (he got stuck too)

It is sweet. I found the mud, the rest is some nice ravines, etc. Went back out there Friday with some people. I limped up there with my bad transfer case, and parked in the right place this time, so as not to drive through the 3 foot deep puddle. Unfortunately no Explorers, so I can't show the guys what it can do. If I had the time and money I'd do the 4x4 conversion just to show that the Explorer is worthy. ;-)

Sorry...no pics from yesterday. Just picture my truck stuck in mud that is not even as deep as my sliders, and with a headboard to a bed under it! That's right, I got stuck (for a couple of minutes) in a very small mud hole. I opened the door after it stopped moving to see what was stopping me because my friend did it in a stock TJ with street tires a few weeks back. After trying to open the door and it barely moving, my friend got out on the other side, looked, and saw the a large wooden headboard was under the side of my truck, and wouldn't allow me to move. I couldn't even see it when we were going through the rest of it because it was under so much other mud. Since when is a mud hole the new local dump? :fire: We pulled that thing out and I was able to get through the rest of the mud hole.
