This is more for my benefit than anything, but I figured some people would like to see the progress I've made on my truck so far... I bought it 2 1/2 years ago fully stock from a guy on craigslist... he said he picked it up from an auction at a junkyard. Apparently it was an impound that never got picked up...
First she got a bath...
The first things to go were those ugly stock rims (which didn't even match... I had 2 pairs of different rims... you can see them in those first 2 pictures. they weren't even on the same axles, the matches were on opposite corners.)
Then I got rain guards and a bug guard for my birthday, so those got installed... (the rain guards are the ones that fit in the weather stripping, not the ones that stick on. Me gusta...)
Then the radio, the temperature controls, and the gauge cluster got taken out... new radio got put in, and all the bulbs in everything got changed to blue (it didn't work so well on the gauges because they're painted green, now my gauges are just a teal color...)
then blue interior lights got added...
for Christmas a few years back Santa brought me a Flowmaster exhaust, but I don't have pictures of that... it went from sounding like a cheesy v6 to a v8 that has some meat in it (it definitely is a v6 though )
then we took a long hiatus from fixing/upgrading because i don't have a job, so money is kind of tight... (somewhere in here we painted my stock hubcaps black and added them on to the new tires and rims...) but we spent yesterday doing a little exterior sprucing... here's the before:
and the after:
I have taken this thing from looking like a mail truck to looking kind of beefy!!! I can't wait for more upgrades (including new bumpers, I know mine are crap... lol).. anyone have any suggestions besides lift/suspension/bumpers?
