Ducey, we wont want everyone to know we are pros, though. Then we will attract a lot of stragglers. Call me heartless, but we dont want to slow ourselves down. When it comes to zombies, its all about the mezies. Think of yourself (and family) first. everyone else is secondary. Its all about surviving.

Oh, CCr, from the sounds of it, you are a regular North Dakotan, and we will not have to worry about firepower with both of our caches.

hahaha, so what is our plan? we know that zombies slow down in the cold. I'm thinking that everyone from the warm, populated south should convoy up thru the states and meet up in alberta where there is no one. nobody special and I will cover the front and rear with enough ordinance to wipe out the entire population of new york city. that should last a while. we need some street X's recruited into this for scavenging runs for ammo and supplies.

Zombies cannot swim, run, or realy even move fast. They are too stiff and swollen. Think of roadkill, then think of how to get away from roadkill that wants to eat you.

The whole not swimming and barricading the shore makes perfect sense with the head north plan. find us an island surrounded by water/ice. let the horde of zombies get onto the ice at a far away distance, blast the ice so they all fall thru. the sheet of ice around the island will ensure that if they keep walking that they cannot get to shore because they will not be able to surface. just like when a human falls under the ice!

and if ll else fails and we can't get any street X's, I will activate ZAPV 66, the 66 mustang that can handle the speed and agility required for supply runs. but it can't fit many in there, that's why we need the street X's. they can hold lots of supplies!

I don't think cold, water or ice should be thought of as a permanent defensive measure. All three are only going to slow them down, not stop them. Though watching a mindless, uncooridinated zombie trying to shuffle across a patch of ice could provide a few hours of entertainment :bsnicker: And if you set up camp in a place with long cold winters you'll eventually just freeze yourself as supplies dwindle. Plus that only leaves short growing seasons for food. Canned foods are only going to last for awhile and you'll probably need to grow you're own grains, fruits and vegetables. As for meat sources who knows. Maybe animals won't be infected, then again maybe they will

Also as techieman pointed out we shouldn't assume they will be stereotypical arms streched out, slow moving, i'm gonna eat your brains types. I think ZDay will be brought on by us, something more like 28 days later or Resident Evil. With fast, somewhat smart, even if it's just basic survival instincts, enraged zombie types.

I agree.. however with that being said. 2-stripe are you going to get metal plates to put over your windows, and possibly louves for the front window to see out of so that they can't smash with windows in or are you going for the bulletproof bank truck type windows.

I was watching some movie where they outfit a bus and they leave holes for chainsaws and the like to be stuffed through to cut off arms of zombies trying to climb up.

Just some food for thought. how about roll out mini guns in the back quarter panels? could help for massive herds advancing toward you

with a flame thrower underneath you'd have to route it so it wouldn't get hurt by rocks but nothing a skid plate can't fix, you might want to put a few nozzles one for each side maybe.. that way you can just do donuts and be a flamming ball of fire.. hehe

I've heard of that mall Toast...lots of **** we could use to fortify that place, plus PAINTBALL!!!!! It would also help, because the ones in the group that aren't very good will guns can practice and those that are can get better.


As for the flamethrower idea, that's not a very good plan to put it underneath the ZAPV...gas tank...but I can rig up a "flame cannon," shoots a ball of fire at least 30 yards, plenty of range to go on top of the X
