Well there is a pretty good size of clearcoat on my hood that came off. It's like a big circle a 12 in circle. Now you can just see the base coat paint no clearcoat. Is there a way to fix this without having to repaint the whole hood? Thanks.

A good body shop can fix it nicely. As a DIY project, it will look OK but not perfect unless you have great skill. I have done it one one vehicle, by feathering the edges of the clearcoat with #600 then #1200 wet. Then I sprayed automotive clear overlapping the old clear that was left, no mask because it can leave an edge to the new clear that's visible. When dry I used rubbing compound to blend the old and new clear, then waxed and it was good enough for selling but nowhere near showroom.
