97 Ranger XLT: 4x4 switch issue?

Hello, I am new to this forum and hoping someone can help me figure out why my four wheel drive isn't coming on. I have manual Warn hubs, they have worked great, the problem is that I can't get the four wheel drive to engage. When I start the vehicle, the 4x4 dash light indicators come on like they are supposed to, but when I flip the switch to go into 4x4 the lights do not come on on the instrument panel and there is no four wheel drive. Is there a relay or fuse to check? I checked fuse #13, it was good. Is there a way to test the actual switch? Do they go bad?

Module location?

Do you know where to find this module on a 97 Ranger XLT Super Cab? Thanks for the response btw.
