What size in and out do i need on my flowmaster?

Im buying a flowmaster delta 40 and i need to know what size i need in and out.
I think its either 2.5 on both or 2 on both. Im not really sure.
Its a 1997 Ford Explorer XLT 4.0 V6 2WD 4DR
Any help or suggestions is appreciated.

You'll have to get under there and see what you have now. You should be able to get one that just bolts on. I think you'll have to change the tailpipe though...

its 2 inches both ways, i measured. Why do you think i have to change the tail pipe?

I'm pretty sure the stock exhaust pipe is 2 1/4"

When I put on my Dynomax they told me I need a high flow tailpipe, whatever that means. They probably just said that to get more money out of me, lol.

If you got a bigger tail pipe it didn't hurt anything, most people on here got with 2 1/4 before the muffler and 2 1/2 after.
