How to: 3rd Gen BODY LIFT. Install.

You been pricing 285's? You're gonna need them with all that lift.

No i just bought the 265's

All i know is the tires will look small and a little odd, is that all i have to worry about?

Im going to wait for you to go 35's then i proly will copy you and go the same route;) that way you get the credit for trying it first:D

Hey guys the lifted Ex's look sick, might think about trading the Ranger in on one... if you guys can figure out how to run 35's i would do it in a heart beat. with the 3inch spacer and the 3inch body you can only run 33's correct? Also how do they offroad? i see they flex alot more then my ranger does.

33's do the trick without question, I think they do great offroad, and I rarely bottom out.
I do plan on going bigger in the spring just the same, but mainly just because I'm addicted... not because i need to. ;)

I didn't even use my steering extension for the first while... didn't have any problems.
But to do it "right" of course you should try to make it work.

Chris - I seem to remember someone (may even have been RB) turned the metal bumper thing upside down after doing the lift - just had to elongate one of the holes, from memory, and that seemed to do the trick.

Yeah, that was guitarfrk741
I wish I had thought of it... lol
But it only works if you have the small trailer hitch receiver.

I don't think Chris has a reciever at all, so it may work for him too??

I'm pretty sure they all have a hitch don't they?
Some have the 1 1/4" hole and some the 2"?
Sorry, I guess maybe it's not called the receiver... but the hitch itself.

I think the receiver is right; I just remember Chris saying he didn't have a towbar, so I assumed there was another version that didn't have anything. I'm all confused now!!!!

Just checked - it's Thelt that doesn't have a tow bar!

hold it up, i do have a reciever factory class four

(BTW thelt has a class four also look at the pic on Roadbully-offroad.com)

Yeah, that'll be the 2", so you can't just flip your bumper upside down . :thumbdwn:
