gave myself an oil change. mobil 1 synthetic, k&n filter

11.22.2010-11.23.2010
ive always had a bogging/no get up and go on a cold start. so i went ahead and tried this: http://ford40.com/sputtering.shtml

left it to soak all night, dried today. there was some dirt/dust on the filaments. put it back in today along with a new maf from a cobra.
not only was there no more bogging when cold, i didnt have the slow response/bog related to having my battery unplugged and it relearning itself either.

i reccomend doing this if you have probs and notice the maf filaments are dirty.

the new maf sensor:

and the painted area behine the grille:

i will be painting the grille, bull bar, front bumper, rear bumper all with bedliner.
and at some point paint along the sides of the truck following the top of the bumper line in bed liner

11.24.2010-11.28.2010
bed lined front bumper, rear bumper+rear sides, grill, and re-added wal-mart lights.
took off the hitch that was attached the the bumper also.

your turn to start cutting jd. its down to the rivets now :)

DSC_2512.jpg

i have lots of flex :D

huh i still see the driver side hanging

and passenger?take both axles all the way out.only one bolt on the drop bracket

damnit lol
wasnt thinking of that, had pivot mounts on rivets on my mind and thought the whole thing was lol
ill do it another day, its nasty outside, i dont feel like laying down in the water again

hahaahah 98% done.you can put the ra drop brackets on to

ok. NOW its your turn :p

DSC_2515.jpg

That's photo shopped!!;) its pouring rain down!! Im waiting on my gears and locker.you have about two weeks on cleaning to do anyways!!!hahaha ;)

half the stuff is painted, ill take some pics.

now im starting to understand why brandon liked smelling spray paint so much. lol

edit: didnt get one of the springs, but theyre painted already
DSC_2523.jpg

DSC_2524.jpg

DSC_2526.jpg

^yes i missed a spot. needs another coat anyway

Hahaha was going to call you out!!;p look 100% better what paint are you using?

same as i did for my axle, rustoleum bed liner spray can. holds up well, the 8.8 only has a couple small spots that wore off, prob some surface rust i had missed
i wish i could start over from the ground up and paint every single little thing how i want. but its just not possible right now

i think my front driveshaft is a junker, its got yellow markings lol
some shop prob charged the old owner for a new one and they got a junkyard one lol

Yea i used rusto then dupli bed liner and it don't have a nick in it.i did my whole inside with ruto but haven fished it.you can see ever spot that i didn't paint is rusted from the beach.every nu and bolt.i didn't have any rust before!!

yea 60% of everything has turned orange now from the beach. the other 40% was covered in mud/grime/dirt/grease so it wasnt exposed to the sand.

im pretty much done. just have the drivers side axle/arm/crossmember to paint.
i have some white paint left to, im debating adding some white in there. i was thinking radius arms and obviously calipers since i did the rear ones.
for anybody that doesnt rememebr the rear, this is why i want some white in there:
132_1674.jpg

or making a false diff cover out of paint?.. like so:
Untitled-1-102.jpg

pretty sure my front shocks are gonna be white, theyre pro comps. so ill paint my stock rear shocks white also

I would just do a fake cover in the front, not the arms.ps nice pic

You pull that pumpkin off yet or you just going to bring me the whole thing?if you do pull it off be careful not to dick it up.it can be a pain to get it to separate. Might have to beat a scrapper around the edges first or use a blade.or you might get lucky and it falls right off
