Suggestion for a thickness rating?Exactly
Suggestion for a thickness rating?Exactly
You are from Florida Walk around in your backyard till you find a suitable pc of scrap metal cut it to the shape that you want and use itSuggestion for a thickness rating?
Probably enough scrap metal at home alone, it's whether I trust that or not lmaoYou are from Florida Walk around in your backyard till you find a suitable pc of scrap metal cut it to the shape that you want and use it
At least that's how I would do it
I wouldn't mind seeing a solid pc of steel and then drill a hole in itProbably enough scrap metal at home alone, it's whether I trust that or not lmao
We collect some scrap metal, got a neighbor that does a good chunk of it so maybe I'll ask
Very true! That's hefty to put a hole in! Though if I can get my grandads old drill press working... I inherited it but ain't sure what wires are what yet, plus the switch on the fronts missing.I wouldn't mind seeing a solid pc of steel and then drill a hole in it
I forgot Deathrow was red haha. Also nice Sierra (whoever's it is haha)And let it begin! Canopy setup, hood off, radiator out. Getting there!

Any syn 5w30 is a safe betWhat do yall suggest running oil and tranny fluid wise? And how much tranny fluid? Figure 5w-30 is a safe bet oil wise as usual
I'll see about adding that to the list! Thanks! How much fluid ya think?Any syn 5w30 is a safe bet
Any Mercon 5 is fine, Valvoline, Castrol, same fire different dumpster. May for your ocnsideration I put forth the idea of LubeGard red? I've never had a bad experience w/ it. Heck, that and a few tranny fluid changes almost eliminated the bad shift flare on my buddy's Mazda, think the trans has a good amoutn of wear on the frictions (since I see some material here n there), but it unclogged that solenoid and fresh fluid helped too. So its not a fix all but it seems to work good on my trans.
Usually for a drain and refill I use 5-6 qts, but I have a drain plug. If you drop the pan & cha ge the filter )highly reccomend) Id budget maybe 6- 7? Can always return whatchya dont use!I'll see about adding that to the list! Thanks! How much fluid ya think?
Appreciate it! Oh of course, I already have a filter, gasket, and even an upgraded tranny cooler ready to buy next paycheck! Wasn't skipping those!Usually for a drain and refill I use 5-6 qts, but I have a drain plug. If you drop the pan & cha ge the filter )highly reccomend) Id budget maybe 6- 7? I havent changed my filter for a few years so I think it was around an extra qt I got out so Id say 6-7. Realistically with a drain no filter change Id say 4.5-5.5 so 5-6 qts. So Id get 6-7 just to be safe. If you have an extra keep it as a spare or return it haha. But no more than that.Appreciate it! Found a pan with a plug built in I'll add to the order. I can't weld yet so, probably best to do it this way lolI havent changed my filter for a few years so I think it was around an extra qt I got out so Id say 6-7. May I also suggest a drain plug? Makes it so much easier I cha ge filter every 60k but every 20-30k (dpeeding on how much towing offroading etc) I change fluid by drain and refill. It almost feels too easy! Drill hole weld stud, you know the drill!
Do you want pan temps or TC temp? TC temp will ge much hotter but pan temp is easy to add when you have it offAnyone ever add a tranny temp sensor? Not necessarily a need I'd guess, but I'd like to have it especially I upgrade the tranny cooler soon.
