00 Mounty Cold start problems

On my 00 Mounty 5.0, there seems to be a cold start problem. It is intermittent. I will start the car, then after the crank, thr RPM dive and the vehicle stalls. After doing this several times, the truck will start and run beautifully. I have replaced the fuel filter already.

Welcome to the forum

Try cleaning the mas airflow sensor, throttle body, and check to see if the IAC (Idle Air Control) valve is clean and working properly.

Changed out the IAC (45 bucks at autozone)...problem has not replicated in 4 days since part was replaced. Thanks again for your help.
