Hi to all.
This is my first post in the forum because i am too bad writing in English. I am Spanish and i have a 4x4 94' Explorer with automatic transmission. I am having problems with my transmission. My first transmission was changed in the Ford workshop because it was loosing oil, and the new A4LD tranny seems to be defective. At least this is what the Ford's guys have said to me. Since it seems what this tranny was the last new A4LD in the world, they said to me that they could not change it into new other one. They neither knows how to repair it, because they said that the codes and the oil were ok.
The problem that my tranny have is shifting from 1 gear to 2 when it is cold. The shift is produced at 4000 revolutions. As soon as this happen, all work fine. I have noticed that the noise when I start the car is'nt the same. It seems that the engine reaches more revolutions.
Here, in Spain, we haven't good mechanics to repair automatic transmissions, and i have not desire of doing experiments in a no official workshop.
Is there a specific problem that will cause this?. Any help on this situation will be really appreciated.
Thanks you all.
P.D. Sorry for my bad English. I am being helped by a online translator
