1995 explorer with o/d flashing

Okay this morning i saw my o/d started flashing,so i decided to take it to the shop. They put it on the snap on obd1 checker and only 1 code 111. He play with the system for awhile then unpluged it, i notice the o/d light has disappear. It"s not flashing no more. Weird, hopefully that did the trick. Guys don't get mad at if i post this in the wrong area.

o/d light flashing

He unplug the scanner voila the light seem to has disappear, Pls help me on this one . I am scared that the tranny might just stop working while i'm on the freeway? What will happened if the tranny die's, will i be able to make it home?
