- 2011 Explorer Sport Trac
Hey Everyone,
I'm new to the forum and needing some assistance.
I have a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac 2WD 4.0L EFI SOHC 6cyl.
Two weeks ago i was driving about 40mph and had to accelerate quickly to pass a vehicle in a 1 lane road. When I accelerate all of a sudden i saw RPM's increase but no speed increase. I release the accelerator and the truck slowed down and would not respond to accelerator. I came to a stop and truck still remained on but would not allow me to move forward or back (no response to R,D,1,2). I've never had any types of transmissions problems or signs of it failing in the past.
Today I replaced the transmission(used), torque converter(used), and neutral safety switch(used) thinking that was the problem still same problem remains. The truck turns on both in P and N but will not move forward or back on R,D,1,2. I've checked the transmission fluid and also removed one of the lines from the radiator to see if it shows pressure(looks good).
I'm not sure what else to try and appreciate assistance.
Thank you!
