A few days ago I was driving to work in the morning, about a mile from my house I make a left turn after waiting at the red light and during the turn my engine cuts off.
The radio continues but I lose steering and have to stop the car, turn it off, then on again. It turned on fine the engine just died a few seconds later. About the 3rd try it started and I continued on my drive to work.
Along the way the engine would give out when I was accelerating down the road but after a few miles it was fine.
This happened a few months ago as well in the same spot only while I was at the redlight, before it died while turning, the car started shaking and then shot ahead suddenly.
Talking with friends our thought are: The fuel pump is clogged, or there is water going through the engine (I had just filled up the tank the previous night and I generally get HESS).
Any thoughts on whats wrong would be appreciated!!
