2020 Explorer Issues - 4WD Fault, Pre Collision Assist Not Available, Service Advance Trac

Purchased 2020 ST about 4 weeks ago (2025-03-30).
Was driving and all the lights came on (Service Wrench, AWD, Etc)
Found this thread and performed the modified version of TSB 23-2061. Thanks :bow:Kend9090 (Post #152)
Lights went off when I started the Truck. Haven't drove the Explorer yet. I will report back if any issues do arise
I do have the sensor on order just to be on the safe side.
So glad I found this forum!
Hope you purchased a warranty on it! My 2020 had numerous major repairs all before 55K miles. It was all covered under powertrain warranty but now I have extended warranty. I will not drive it after the warranty end of next year. I will trade it in by then if not sooner. I wish you had read this forum before buying a 2020 without warranty! Today I hit 60K miles and have 19 months and 24K miles left on warranty.

I bought extended warry from my credit union. Their extended warry has been excellent over the years. 5ys/50k covers bumper to bumper
I was aware of some of the issues going into the 2020.

Good! How many miles on yours? You may need the FADA on the front end TSB mentioned on the forum. I had the faults you mention and had a sensor replaced then had to have the TSB done.

I purchased with 57k just rolled past 59k yesterday while driving around checking the 23-2061 fix.
The Explorer and a 2013 Escape are the daily beaters.
I have a 2016 F150 with less than 100k and a 2023 Nautilus with 10k that's the garage queens.
Unsure if the FADA has been completed yet. I don't think it has, due to the Parking brake not engaging when I go into park.
I still have the Front Dif fluid and Trany Fluid/Filter/Pan to do and will definitely look for the plug delete, etc.

I'm having these alerts again this past week at 61.5K miles . This first happened 2 years ago and had the half-shaft speed sensor replaced. Then following year the FADA TSB was done. Next week it will go into service to find out what the issue is. The alerts went away a few times then for a couple days were consistently on. Today it's only the 4wd Fault alert so intelligent cruise, collision assist, reverse assist, auto-hold, traction control all worked today. So I'm guessing it's a 4wd sensor or transfer case again. It will be under ESP and rental car covered.

UPDATE: Got my car back today and they replaced the AWD Module, which was the first time for this part. So it drives really well now!

I'm glad to hear that it was an easy fix.
