2021 valve cover gasket

Has anyone changed the valve cover gasket on a 2021 Explorer with 2.3? I just had it at the dealer and they noticed the leak when they went to do spark plugs. They quoted me $1500 to do and said it was a bit of a job. I am used to working on cars and to me it doesn’t look that bad. I just wanted to make sure there were no surprises.

I'm surprised it needs to be done. I'd double check to see if you really see an oil leak. The instructions are here:

Without including parts and coolant figuring $150/hr labor that sure does not read to be a ten hour job.

I would check the torque on the bolts, in the correct tightening order. That might fix a slight leak.
