SO i have read about the 4.0 to the 351 switch. I can and want to do that. I have a 92 Econoline Ford van. It has a 351 EFI ect... now about how much of a lift and other mods are needed to get its 351 in my 99 XLT. I can use the 92s computer and wireing harnesses cant I? I do belive the rear axel is a tad wider than a explorers. Is their anything wronge with just disconnecting my 4x4 in the front at the drive shaft to use the 351? I suppose since the 351s tranny will need to be use that i loose the transfercase ps the front end prob cant handel the 351. If anyone can give me some pointers i would be greatfull.
