I have been very happy with my Yukon 4.10's. If you're going to do the gears you might as well do bearings and seals at the same time so that you don't have to re-do them later.

Lono, did you ever get those gears installed yet? If so are you still running the stock differential covers?

Not trying to derail the post or anything, but where on the door sticker is the gearing info located??? I can't find mine for the life of me...

Look for thiese numbers...

You have to check your door code. Look at the sticker on the inside drivers door.

i havent got them installed yet because for the longest time i couldnt decide on what type of gears to get. i finally decided to roll with a set of ford racing 4.56 gears that i found online. i havent figured out if i will need a different diff cover just yet, but i will keep you posted.

Stock covers should work just fine with the 4.56.

Same here waiting on some tax money. Check out desert rat for the gears, they seem to have some pretty good prices.
