It should be in any day. Just on back order so it took some time.

So i found out that ruff stuff is located down the hill from Cameron Park. So instead of waiting for the shipping I just ran down to Rancho Cordova and picked them up. My buddy and I talked to dan(the owner) for about an hour or two. Hes a great guy. He showed us the whole shop and then offered us a job working with him. My buddy is going to take the job, but I can't because of school and I have a job already. Ruff Stuff is a really great company and I highly recommend them. I just have one big problem. The 8.8 diff cover didn't line up with all the bolt holes. I called dan about this and got him all stressed out. He thinks his CAD design for the cover was tampered with somehow and knocked out of wack some how. He has 100 of these covers coming in next week sometime so hes a bit nervous. It's ok though, he will make it right some how.

Dan is a great guy to deal with, Ive talked to him many times on pirate. He also is starting to make parts for rangers. He has a couple shop rangers, so he has registered on Ranger-Forums.com as a vendor and has shown a couple prototype bumper pics.

Yup, hes designing some bumpers now. He just picked up a two wheel drive ranger with i beam front suspension so he can make a lower priced desert runner kit.

Since you're online 95exploderboy, update please? :D

Stalker!!!

Got done with the little things....

Drilled and tapped another hole in my lower coil seat so it will hold the spring better.

Added my steering reservoir, still have to get the air out of it though.

Shortened and installed rear DS

Put new RTV on rear diff after the first stuff I got leaked like a sive

Installed new gas tank.

Got front axle shaft installed correctly so that the drive slugs fit.

Things that are still bothering me...

Shifters for the stubler. This is the only time that I wish I had an electric case.

Track bar. I need to put a small bend in it to clear the hydraulic ram.

Shocks....

Are you talking about drive flanges (as in the lockout eliminator thingies)? If so thats amazing, I have yet to see a D44 with drive flanges.

Yup, drive flanges. They came with an axle I got a few years ago. These look semi factory, but I don't know if they ever were. Mine are simply a spring that keeps the flange at the end of the axle shaft, the splined flange, a c-clip and a chrome cover that you hammer in place.

On another note, is there anyone local that has a 1.5 in. die for a tubing bender... IZ, do you remember what sizes Wolf had?

Sorry I dont know -- but Spas should, it was used on her panhard bar.

Yeah, and we pretty much destroyed his, since it was never meant to be used on anything harder than aluminum  I think his only went up to 1", but I'll ask when I get a chance.

Thank you much.

Spas, Any idea on how much travel your front shock has? I know you just used the ones you were given, but I failed to measure and I'd kinda like to have them by the next time I get to wrench on this thing..

Swing and a miss... the one die got alittle bit of scoring on it from bending your track bar that was 1" the dies I have are 1.25" and 1.75" for steel tube only (not solid bar) Oh and as a side note, aluminum is harder to bend properly then steel :p:

Thank you much.

Too much :p: I'm pretty sure they're 12-14" travel. I think. I'll have to check later. What kind of shocks are you going with? I need to find Morgan a set of considerably stiffer ones (no rear sway bar= crazy body roll) and I can't run a hoop set-up for multiple shocks.

Well project is on hold again...

I am going to Dubai in the UAE. I'll be there for work helping to install my companies computer systems in the Dubai World Central International Airport.

Spas, I'm looking at the E3000's from Explorer pro comp. You can get their catalog from their website and that way you find a shock that fits your travel specs. They are pretty fairly priced too.

Thats all for now, my next update will be some pics from Dubai...

Have fun overseas!
