A Cheap Neon Trick

I bought red marker lights from meijers the other day and put them under my dash of my x.
they now light up below my dash by my feet quite well if i say so my self.
I would say that these little lights are well worth the $1.94 a peice i spent on them, since streetglow, lowglow or any neon company wants like 40 for small neons. These little lights do the same thing, and match the other neons i already have.
Meijer carries the marker lights in Blue, red and amber.
they are also weather proof good for any place i guess.
so if your looking to dress up your X for a fraction of the price, try meijer automotive section and get some of these marker lights foa buck 94 a pop.

perhaps so.. and I'm glad it worked for you.. but there are a few reason why neons would be a better idea.

1. incandescent bulbs produce heat, much more than standard neon bulbs
2. the life of a bulb is shorter than that of a neon
3. the color on a bulb like that will eventually burn off from the heat.. it won't be a true match forever

I'm glad its working for you, not saying its a bad idea either, but there are many reasons why I personally chose the neons over the bulbs

got any pics? I'd love to see how it turned out

its a marker light
so it has a red covering over the actual bulb, which is white
they get warm but not really really hot, to the touch.
no pictures at the time
i want to get some eventually
