I would sugest you check and set your "Curb Idle" before you do this MOD. On the 4.0 you need to set it at 675rpm. To do this, make sure the engine is warm, unplug the IAC valve, then crank it up. 98% of the 4.0L will not run, meaning they need to be set.
After you do that then readjust your TPS, it'll make a big difference.
What you are doing is resetting the WOT. When the computer thinks it's at WOT, it will turn off the A/C & alternator field, and down shift the tranny if you have an automatic. This MOD does not give you any Hp, it just re-assaigns what is currently being used on other things.
I've did this on several FORD cars & trucks. When I do this on other peoples cars, I ask them what did they notice after the test drive. I don't tell them what to expect. This is what they say:
"That was the best MOD for the money"-he paid for dinner.
"It feels smoother, and pulls me better"-from a girl in a SHO.
"Just call me 'Stompy'"-from a guy in Canada about his Sport Trac I did.
