auto tranny upgrade

i was just wandering if it would be possible to replace the a4ld tranny with something stronger like the aod trans in a superduty or something, or maybe even a five speed auto. my main reason for considering this is because the a4ld has seemed to be a problem prone transmission. im looking for a tranny that can handle aggresive driving with a little bit more than stock engine.

Not that I know of....

That was my first decsion when my tranny blew. However, No body made an adapter to fit any auto tranny to the the 4.0 that I could find, Advance Adapters,Kaufman,Duff, Performance Adapters etc. The only choice I had was switching to a T5 or putting a 302 infront of an AOD. With 185K miles on my truck Idecided to gp with the new motor. ( Really had to twist my arm too )
