Tru trac L/S is key...
Set it and forget it.
Yeah FROADER's got a point, his Explorer did very well climbing and also had very good turning radius.

i think someday im gonna take out the locker and go l/s. maybe after hub #50 or so

Locker..... plussssss....

under the gas pedal

:p:

hmmmmm that would also help the mpg in my t-bird souper coupe

I'm running Ected's front and rear and really like them. I've read in some forums where people say they slip, I haven't experienced it myself and I've had them installed for about 9mos. My theory is that if it does slip under extreme torque situations that it is a good thing for my d35. I'd always rather be stuck than broke.

thanks junkie! ill have to look into that, just hope i don't start breaking alot of axles/u-joints!

ok, i just got off the phone with jim who just talked to mike (the diff guy).

after everything i said about it only happening with the drivers side hub locked, it didn't make sense to him. so he drove it some more and took the front end appart again and it turns out it was the aussie locker
ill prolly find out more details later when we go pick it up, but it was the locker that was bad, something about the pins, and he put in a limited slip, i think a tru trac. i was gonna look into the ected's, but this should work good. t-case is fine. about $650 is the total. well now that its fixed, lets go try to break it again!!!!! :D

sorry tbars, my aussie went bad within a year and about five or six good runs on it. but it worked good until last trip, something tells me yours will last longer though

well now that its fixed, lets go try to break it again!!!!!

Haha, i love your attitude.

...my driving habits when on the rocks is different from yours but if you keep insisting on racing thru the wash, my aussie may be limited too....:D

im only in 2wd in the wash's. i drive 2wd as much as possible, cuase its fun to drift hahaha

oh and we will race, you me, and blackgoblin. losers take all.....all the dust from the winner

my avatar pic is just a small amount of what i have done with my truck. :p:

Thats why i like beams over a-arms. You can put them through alot of abuse. Hopefully my new kit will be very very strong and fun to beat on. No more torsions for me, gonna have some dual rate radflo coilovers.

thats what im talkin about! get the good stuff! c/o's will be pretty nice

It will be nice, it wont be an LT kit though. More of an upgraded camburg 6.0 style kit. Will still pull around 12in of usable travel though. And will be strapped to prevent future breaking from overextending ball joints lol.
