Love this site, its saved my butt so many times. Never posted before.
I have a '98 explorer sport with a manual transmission with 108k miles and from what i've read the slave cylinder goes right around there. It seems like thats happened. Can't shift into 1st or reverse from neutral and is creeping a bit in neutral. ALSO i've read that my other problem is fairly common. My clutch and break pedal assembly snapped and is now loose. I found the new assembly part from FORD but couldn't find anything on how to remove this piece. Does anyone know how or know of a write up for it?? If there isn't anything out there I'm planning on doing a write up of my own. I plan on replacing this part first because maybe its just that i can't push the clutch in far enough to disengage due to the broken assembly.....Any input would be appreciated. I already have a new clutch and slave cylinder ready to go in.
THANKS!!!
