I was wondering if I should spend the extra 50$ to get the chrome caps and lug nuts. I like the all black look and I am wondering if the chrome makes it too much chrome. Without them will my hubs look like they stick out really far? BTW I am getting black rock crawlers. So post your opinion or pictures if you have any.

I have black rock crawlers and chose not to get the center because like you i didn't want the chrome and just plain don't like center caps, and I'm also cheap. Anyway, without the center caps, you can tell the front hubs stick out of the rims a good 2 or 3", but it doesn't bother me. On the back, the hubs don't stick out but were very rusted and look terrible. The fonts weren't really rusted so they actually looked ok. They just didn't go very well w/ the rims because the hubs are silver. So I'm planning on painting the hub outers to clean things up a bit. It should look fine after that.

When I had them, I got chrome lugs and caps. IMO it looks a lot better, because of the contrast.

Yea that does look pretty sweet.

I like :D

Man the pumpkin looked pretty good in black. But if it was still black, it just wouldn't be the great pumpkin. :D But on the topic at hand, what kind of rims are those Rick? They don't look like the regular rock crawlers because of the silver edges. I think the chrome caps look better on those than they would on the regular all black RC's.

You can purchase rim rings that will give the silver edge. Won't be lockers but I've seen some on trucks that don't look too bad. Kind of a cop style rim.

They don't make those rims anymore :(

BTW, the truck wasn't black it was "Dark Forest Green". It was a very hard color to photograph and shows up differently in different lighting conditions.

You can see more green in this shot.

Yeah before I painted mine black it was a weird greenish blue color. Sometimes it would be DARK green, sometimes light green, and sometimes a bright teal. It was crazy how often it would change colors. That might actually be the same color mine had. Kinda hard to tell though. (As stated :) )
