I want to install 110 volt power inverter in the cargo area of my 2000 Explorer XLT 4x2. Does anyone have any ideas for what wiring is back there and readily available that would support such a draw?

Any ideas?

I would run a isolated feed off the battery with an inline fuse. Power Inverters can draw alot of amps and could fry the factory wiring.

little bit more information...

what are you installing it for? what do you plan to run off of it?

hmm, that's a pretty cool idea.

I've got a 90W one that just plugs in to the cigarette lighter, and is small enough that it's all one unit and doesn't have wire everywhere. I bought it to charge the laptop, but I haven't used it in ages...
