City bus fender flares?

Jc Whitney, has them priced at about $80 bucks for complete set. That's not bad, compared with 300-400  . I was reading up on the stuff they are made from. Pretty cool stuff, it's a synthetic rubber that was developed for roofing. 40 years ago. They say the roof's are still there and work, in Alaska, and the desert somewhere. I think the roofs come with a 20 year guarantee. Sounds like a good product.
Oopps sorry. :o . I had a typo I should have said they "Were cheap" compared to other options..

Michael,

The Creepy crawlers are great for off-road. I got tired of trying to find a radial with super strong side walls & decided to get bias tires. I did a lot of research on Pirate & other boards & the Creepy Crawlers have a good rep & as far as I know, no ones ever cut a sidewall…not even in competition events.

I’ll post a review in the review section in a bit with pictures & more info. They were a bear to get balanced but after that they take away the worry that I’ll rip ‘em up out in Baja.

FLARES: I went & ordered the extra wide ones from JC Whitney, should be here in about a week. I have a lip welded in where I cut the fender so I should be able to screw these up pretty easy.

Just curious to see if anyone picked up a set of these yet...

I never made it over to look at them, but I plan to get some in the next few weeks.

CG should have got his by now...

Glassworks Unlimited makes replacement fenders that are wider and cut out more for more suspension travel... A bit more money than y'all are talkin though.

Nice website, but they don't list any products for Explorers :(

I ahve the pacer flares, they installed very easily, have held true and look great. They have pulled away from the side in a few places but its nothing that is really notciable. I would definatly reccommend them.

!!!OOPS!!! I didn't actually look at the site first. I just remembered the Ranger fenders looked sweet when I was researching building a PreRunner

Thanks for the info sn0Border88.. I saw some of the pics in your gallery and they look good  It looks like you got the ones that mount to the fender lip, correct? I have trimmed my front fenders and would need to re-weld a new lip in place...
