If you want to use an H1 Kit this is the only modification you have to make. You need to hollow out the inside of the bulb socket.

The reason I mention H1 is because that's the bulb that the round fog light takes. That's where I want the HID's. The standard headlamp above the front bumper would remain halogen.
 






And the reason I mentioned 9006 is that the H1 can be converted/ substituted to/for the 9006 bulb. It may be an eaiser conversion

They are not the same bulb. The H1 bulb in your fog is in a holder/socket. The 9006 bulb will fit into where the socket does on the lamp body. (Read the link in post #2)
