Cracked windshield....

Just discovered this today.. and have no idea how it happened.

My only guesses are..
-dad was driving (took a long drive this friday) and the windshield got it and cracked (theres a bit of a chunk near the bottom that looks hit)
-from flexing the suspension offroad, i usually take it out offroad but just on the farm.

I have no real idea, im thinking more its because of suspension flex but im not sure. I have a parts truck (eddie baur) with a very good windshield i'll use for a replacement, its a 91 so it should fit ok.

Also this is the factory windshield, it is very pitted from rocks, etc and is very hard to see out of in bright sunlight lol

just don't wash it on a hot day with cold water, that is how mine got worse.

I called speedy auto glass already and got a price of $278.33 (including tax) Canadian. New windshield installed. The parents beleive they know what happened to this windshield.

Or use you defroster on a cold morning. They grow like weeds then!

I must say it was relatively cold this morning.. the trucks window was frosted and today the sun has been real powerfull.. so this probably never helped.. so far its just on the passenger side, if it starts getting worse were going to replace it.

it's even worse when it's -20* out, drivin down the highway with the heater on, and suddenly *craaaaaaaaack* and the spider crack now goes the whole length of the window

Hehe this one is getting worse and worse by the day... i figure ill get about 20 more trips out of it before it cracks right across
