Cruise Control and Lane Keeping / Lane Centering

This is a great write-up. I didn’t know lane centering required adaptive cruise. But I always use adaptive cruise anyway. Thanks again on this.

I also have a minor issue where cruise will disengage without any error message. Not a big deal. I have at least one hand on the steering wheel.

There is much confusion out in the world between Lane Keeping and Lane Centering (using Ford's nomenclature). Even going to Ford's website, they do a (really) poor job of explaining the differences and how to use them. The only reason Adaptive Cruise should disengage on its own is if the sensor gets blocked, usually due to rain, snow or dirt.

That’s what I would think. I’ll need to spend more time characterizing the issue. It seems like it might be happening at the same geographic locations around home. Not sure yet.

I don't see an issue with the two features. One keeps you within the lane markings, while the other keeps you centered between them.
I Don't use either feature.
