if i use these coils will i need new upper buckets (the 5 1/2'' coils)

Total guess here, but I would say about 1/2"... :p

Plus, unless you are going to keep your stock buckets where they are, you can have a 3.5" coil and get the same lift as a 6" coil depending on where you put them.

well i dont think that would show that much when installed

i might but i gotta check but im gonna check around

if i do that im gonna have some hellaciously wide flares but im thinkin of goin fiber cause those are bada$$

im buying his 8.8 for this project and maybe his d35 for another

You dont HAVE to use radius arms with coils. yuou can do a 4 link, 3 link etc...

thats what im thinking about...4 link

if i get these coils here the 5 1/2'' rock krawler coild do i need new coil buckets ?

First off, coils are better. :p It's preference, but most of it has to do with what the vehicle will be used for. I chose coils because I hate leaf springs (plan on getting rid of the leaf springs in the rear with a link setup and coils or c/o's). They are simple, which is why people run them, but you also lose approach angle with them.

Next, the Heep Rubicon front d44's are LP. Never say never, but you'll have a VERY VERY VERY hard time finding a rubicon front axle complete for under 1500 (my friend has been looking for quite some time for one for his TJ)

Lastly, I've heard the stock coil buckets can be modified to fit the larger Early Bronco coils. Most everyone runs the Wild Horses EB coils with Bronco coil buckets (either stock or like mine from Jeff's Bronco Graveyard). I will be running the CAGE offroad 5.5" lift coils. I've heard awesome things about them, and have heard that they're better than the WH (also heard the opposite) I'd like to try them since they are 110 compared to about 150 from other companies. The great thing about new buckets is you can raise or lower them to change the amount of lift you'll have. Also, you get rif of the stock (POS, IMO) buckets that have the shock incorporated on it. I'll be running F250 shock mounts. LMK if you have anymore questions.

Actually the raduis arm set up is a 3 link. Raius arms 2 + trac bar 1.
2+1=3

I think I'll eventually be doing a 4 link front and rear as well.

ok
1. whered you get your coils? the CAGE, ones cause im on a budget too
2. do you have a link to the bronco coil buckets that your using cause ive been looking for about 2 hrs
3. have you seen any early bronco d44s at pull a part cause i dont want to use my waggy and do all the work to set it up for coils but i just may end up doin it anyway
4. what the heck will i do with my brake situation

1. Haven't bought em yet. Their available at http://www.cageoffroad.com/page/page/1167799.htm

2. http://broncograveyard.com/bronco/i...r__1978-79__pair.htm/?o=&st=coil buckets&sy=7

3. The earliest bronco at Pull-A-Part that I've seen/read online is 84. They have several 76-79 F150s, but their all 2wd. The only 4wd Fords at PAP have TTBs.

4. Depends on the axle. For the front, if you run the HP bronco/f150 Dana 44 you just need extended lines and do some slight grinding on the caliper = you're running full size brakes on an Explorer!

ok thanks

with those coil towers do i need a cup besides the retainer ?
