I have just finished the hard part of my electric cooling fan, the fan itself. Now comes the fun part. I would like to know where would be the best place to put a temp control, I have seen them in the rad hose, or using in the block sensors. Where would be the best place??
Does anyone know where to get a sensor. Would a control from the bone yard??( What car???) or an aftermarket be better??

Tim

my fan's sensor was built into the fan itself and sat against the radiator...turns on at 190 and shuts off when below 190

The highest cost controller is just over $100, and comes with a radiator sensor. It is a progressive controller from DC Controls. I will get that because it varies amperage continuously. There is no abrupt high amperage spike when starting the fan, some hit 40-70 amps. There are a few choices available on eBay. Good luck,
