Engine Swap

Has anybody swapped their 4.0 in a 3rd gen for a 4.6 V8? My Ex is a 04, so it has the drive-by-wire setup. I have a 4.6 2v that's currently in my Mustang that will be coming out at some point, but it's a cable operated throttle engine. I see used 3v's for sale cheap, and that would give me the aluminum block, better heads, and the E-throttle. I just want to know what all is needed to make ALL the electronics work (mileage meter, oil change interval indicator, miles to empty, all that crap). Any info is much appreciated.

worst case, you need a stand alone engine managment computer...which dont come cheep... id go talk to a performance shop
