Fall Colors Run

Spas, tell me about E-Town and what are your plans for that?

Well, now I'm wondering if maybe it's too far for everyone to drive overnight... Mapquest tells me it's about 150 miles and 2 hours from Pine Grove, Pa to Englishtown, NJ. Maybe it'd just be best to make it one day of wheeling at Raush Creek....maybe a second day at Paragon if you guys want?

I mean i'm up for whatever....just throwing out ideas at this point!

wheeling saturday and sunday.

super sweet. who wants to stand by their truck and watch people check it out any way. i'd much rather be wheeling.

but eigther is good cause i haven't broken anything in a while so it's probobly gonna be my turn soon.

I dunno if i'll be able to make it to this run now.. I really dont have enough money at the moment to be wheeling and risking breaking anything. I'll have to see what happens as the date gets closer but as it is i'm gonna be running around on my old 33s for a while.

Nah, I wasn't impressed with Paragon for the price. I'd rather do two days at Raush instead.

I can kinda see what Matt's saying...paragon's fun until you've done everything- and Iknow between all the members, they've hit just about every trail, lol. Plus it's expensive and there are always some kind of politics going on there

2 days at Raush creek sounds good to me..but then again, I'm probably riding along anyway, so whatever you guys want to do!

There is alot more at paragon that we have never done or our trucks are not capable of doing. I'd like to goto atleast 1 more monthly ride at paragon before i leave for the army. You really can't base your opinion on one trip to paragon.

I'm looking for a good place to do a run with my bro-in-law and my nefews that we can ride during the day and camp at night.

I don't mind roughing it... I'd even rather not camp at a designated site. I'd like to trails to be challenging but not outrages.

We are in Southern NJ, so going all the way out to Harrisburg area is possible but not preferable... I was wondering if you guys know of anywhere closer to Philly?

Thanks for any input... sorry if I'm too off topic, I just needed a thread where there is a good deal of people from my general area to respond. :-)

Doug is absolutly right, you cant base your opinion about paragon on one trip there, I guide there and still havent seen all the trails... close but not, they keep cutting new trails all the time now. hell, I could have you guys there for 2 days and not do a trail that anyone in the club has done... well sept me... not including access trails that is.

Yeah, there's definitely more to Paragon than what you ran last time Matt. Last time we went there, a trail named Rattler was a definite challenge for more heavily modified vehicles. There are a whole raft of trails that are much more technical and challenging that we haven't even run yet. I chose Rausch Creek for this run because we have all talked about it, but never been there, so it's something new.

True....but then you will always have the phenominal amount of politics and BS that certain members always manage to get themselves into at Paragon, and then we have to be on guard all the time just to keep from getting kicked out of the park....

OK, well here is my point. I will not spend more money at paragon to do level 1 or 2 trails. Granted we had several "street" X's that trip:rolleyes: and I understand that issue. I personally feel that anyone with a street X needs to park it at the entrance and ride with someone. Please, I am not trying to offend anyone, but this is an off roading trip.

I agree with Spas, and yes I was there one time, there was too much BS on that trip. Especially the money issue with the guide. If we can some how keep tyhat from happening again I truely feel we all will have a great time.

Ok, I am done venting.

Instead of venting why dont you go on the next monthly ride? you can pick your skill level.

Didn't we already coordinate with Raush for the 18th? That leaves sunday for Paragon, is that what you guys were thinking?

Which monthly ride would that be? It's not the trip we have planned for the 18th of October is it? If so, please read the entire thread.

Matt, no matter where you wheel, if you have street trucks your gonna be stuck doing easy ****, if that was Rouch creek, you would feel that way about that park now.... there is plenty of hard **** at Paragon, the last run I took a few trucks on some trails that were level 4, and we all had a blast, If you come up for a monthly ride, chances are Chris, (the guide we had the one time you were there) and I will be guiding, and you will have a good time, Guaranteed!!!

BTW, the monthly rides are held on the first weekend of every month.

Also, the "money issue" with the guide, well that guide happens to be a good friend of mine now, I asked him about that, it was a misunderstanding between him and the manager of the park, not with us.

And, as for BS, well said person wouldnt have so much BS if said persons group didnt screw around so much, especially when someone in said persons group takes another persons truck and tries to do donuts in the registration area IN FRONT OF SAID PERSONS BOSS!!!!!!
I may be part of the group, but I do work there and I am expected to keep the group in line so noone gets kicked out..... also, from what I hear, Rouch creek is MUCH more stict and WILL ban anyone from the park without a refund for minor ****.

In the mean time, if a few of us want to get a run out to paragon, to just hit harder stuff, maybe 4-5 trucks, well modified, it would change your outlook on that park. I could drive you all over that park on trails you wouldnt even need 4wd on, or trails that you would wonder "how the hell are we gonna get over that?"

sorry, not done yet.....

heres an idea, on Sat, you all know were gonna have some trucks that arent as capable as others, so we wont be hitting very hard trails, so heres my idea, on Sunday, we hit paragon with the bigger, more capable trucks and explore some harder stuff.... just an idea. if anyone is interested, let me know what you wanna hit (level of trails).... If we get enough trucks, 3 or more, Ill put a route together for that sunday.

OK, I think im done now.
