There is some play in the front CV shaft where it enters the differential on the passenger side. The seal on the driver side is leaking.

Is the bearing where the CV shaft enters the differential/axle difficult to replace?

Does the entire front differential/axle come out by unbolting just 3 bolts?

the passenger side bearing is a pita. it's actually fairly deep into the tube. You would need a small blind-hole bearing puller. There is not enough of a lip to use a regular axle bearing puller.
The driver's side is quite easy, iirc.

Yes, the diff comes out by removing the 3 bolts and disconnecting the breather hose.

Thanks. As soon as I get my Suburban put back together, I'll tear into this thing.
