Fuel Line To Engine From Fuel Filter

Last summer I had purchased a brake caliper, and the box was missing thee mounting bracket (it should have come with it, I specifically ordered that one). They sent the replacement out immediately, though I had to pony up my credit card to cover the cost until the defective one was returned. Yeah an extra week but that's the hidden cost of saving money online vs. local

Still haven't even received the shipment form to put on box for broken part to send back to them. I called them again today complaining and they didn't want to do nothing about it still and said its my fault I don't have a printer!

I said its your fault for sending me a broken part and I demand you to send me that part now overnight or 2nd day. They said no. I said I want my express shipping refunded. They said no because that's got to pay for shipping for new part. I said once again lets go back to square 1. Its your fault not mine. He said we can't express ship the shipment form or the new part. I said put your manager on the phone. He said he was the manager. I said so look, either your going to express ship that new part or I'm reporting you to the better business bureau. He said that's not our policy and we cant do anything else but refund your money and cant do that until we get the broken part we shipped to you. I said fine I'm contacting the better business bureau and filled out a report. UNBELIEVABLE!

personally, i've always had good luck dealing with RockAuto, but if it's something i have to have right away i'd rather purchase it locally, even if it costs me more. that way if it's the wrong part, damaged, or missing something i can just return it and get another one immediately.

One vote for you being unreasonable. Things go smooth when you follow procedure. If you did you would have had the replacement by now and it wouldn't have cost you anything extra.

You're telling me you can't borrow a printer or go to the library and use theirs for the .05 a copy?

I've always had great luck with rockauto.
In a case like yours, I order another one on my credit card while the wrong part is being returned. Then when the wrong/defective part gets to Rockauto, they credit my card.

Usually, the whole transaction is on one credit card billing cycle, so Im never actually out any money.

Also, who doesn't have some form of access to a printer somewhere? That part gives me a vote for unreasonable also.

Because its my fault I don't have a printer? Sounds like I'm talking to rockauto again. I use to buy printers once a year and they always died or dried up rendering them useless. I stop buying printers 2years ago. not wasting money on them again. They also said go to kinkos. I think I heard of that place, but maybe, just maybe I don't live in a big city and have access to a printer. I know lots of people complaining recently about the same thing, no one ever has a printer or access to one.

It doesn't matter, is it my fault at all for any of this? No. They sent me a broken part and poor service. They should right their wrong, point blank, that's what it comes down to. Seriously if they or someone else blaming me for a business not righting their wrong by sending me a broken part and here its over 2 weeks later they still haven't sent me out the new part, has no sensible logic to say anything about this situation.

Just buy another one, and then send the other one back when you find a way to print the return label.

No one's blaming you, but it really isn't unreasonable of rockauto to want the old part back before sending the new one out. I'm sure they have been screwed millions of times by 'fronting' the part to people. Most people, once they have what they need, don't send the other part back. Then rockauto can't claim with the manufacturer and looses even more money on the transaction. After. Onginually doing this, Rockauto would have to close its doors. No more one stop shopping parts discount place.

Please look at the sellers side also.

Do you not know anyone with a printer? Do you have a Usb stick you can put it on and go to the library even? I do agree the ink jet printers don't last unless they are used frequently.

Just remember, no blame, but look at where there at also. Them sending you an email shipping label to print and stick to the box isn't an unreasonable request.

i purchased a bunch of parts from RA, to change a timing belt, and i also ordered new serpentine and alt belts. everything arrived w/in 2 days and worked out fine, except the alt belt was about 1/2" too short. i called RA customer service, they verified that the belt should have fit according to their catalog. i told them i purchased the correct length belt from AZ, and they refunded the cost of their belt and told me that i didn't even need to bother to return it. pretty happy with the whole transaction.
