So I scored a grill guard for free. All I know it was originally for a 80s chevy pickup. I figure I could make it work though. I have no idea what brand it is. It is brand new though so I couldn't go wrong being that it was free.

Here are some pics, my fear is it looks too gawdy. and I still need to fab up some lower brackets that will mount to the frame.

Let me know what you think:

Yea its a little big and I'm getting new meats, I'm thinking 32's I'm still rockin' the 235's hopefully it will even out.

Way too big & too much bling for my taste. Sell it and buy something made for an Explorer or closer to the size of an Explorer.

looks good

Looks like it's "running with scissors" right up to its face. Bump into something and you're all cut up.

One idea would be to de-chrome it (mandatory) and cut it up to make a push bar to mount some lights on, or mount lights behind it. Not really sure what else you can do with that.
