Header Reccomendation for 5.0

What headers have you guys installed on your rides? Im looking to pull the exhaust manifolds off to fix an exhaust leak but decided to just go ahead and replace the entire exhaust system starting with some headers. Just wondering if you guys have had any luck or bad experiences with any certain brands, IE: pacesetter, hedman etc

Torque Monster Headers are the only viable option. Google them. Search for them on this site. You'll find lots of + testimony. I got a set installed last month. Believe the hype.

Here's a tip that will save you a ton of grief if you install them yourself. The instructions for the right side motor mount...throw them away. Do NOT screw around with the mount nuts on top the plate. Instead, loosen the one nut on the bottom of the mount by snaking an extension and wobbly socket from under the car. This will take you a grand total of about 3 minutes to loosen and tighten...where the instructed method will take...well...one helluva lot longer.

I was thinking the exact same thing.....

we have seen what happens when you buy cheaper 5.0L headers and try to make them fit... they dont
We have seen how much custom headers cost, more then the TM's!!

TM's are emissions legal and dyno proven, they are coated, and they are a work of art. Roberts customer service is awesome, and basically TM headers filled a HUGE need for us 5.0L Explorer freaks

Maybe after you explain what a horsepower is, and figure out how to explain why you need more even though the car can already already has enough power to move. And yes I've had the conversation with an ex and she wasn't very impressed with the explanation.

I'm justifying the cost through mpg savings, but I need to stay off the gas to do so.

Seriously though, my mileage iun the city has been much better which is where I drive mostly so they'll pay for themselves eventually.

I was on the TM site last night, and my wife was sitting next to me. She said how much are they...I simply responded 'Lets not talk about that'.....

...then I scrolled down and she saw the price for the first set he has priced....she was kind of shocked at the price...I didn't tell her I needed the more expensive ones at the bottom of the page for my project.

Later on when I looked at eBay, it had the last few items looked at on the home page....and she is shopping for purses...again. And not the inexpensive ones, or the knock-offs....she wants another Coach. I have over $1,000 into her last Purse/wallet/coin bag/make-up bag purchase...

No purse here, instead she just bought a bunch of camping gear from the Salvation Army yesterday, she was all excited about her new metal frame backpack I guess thats kind of a purse?
