Pioneer.

Have you thought about XM too?

Yes, but I'll probably never get it. I only live 4 miles from work and don't drive as much as I used to. BUT, if I were to get satellite service, I would rather have XM than Sirius.

OK, just your two opinions pretty much confirm what I've been hearing elsewhere (Pioneer).

BTW, I have to order from Crutchfield because I need it by next Thursday at the latest and they have 3 day delivery, not to mention that the 4600MP is an '04 model and I can't find it anywhere else.

I would take the Pioneer over the Kenwood, but I would take an Alpine over the Pioneer.

I Have that same model kenwood and I love it,but I paid more than that for it:(

I second the Alpine and Pioneer comments! ;)

yeah i have an alpine and if that was one of the choices i'd snatch it up in a second but pioneer is a good company and it looks like a good unit:D

Thanks for the advice. I got the Pioneer. I really couldn't beat it for the money. I'm buying a second car sometime this spring and I'll probably switch the Pioneer to that and buy an Alpine.

you could have gotten it alot cheaper than that link though...

KENWOOD all the way.

I have had and do currently own 3 Kenwood decks.

I have had Several other high end brands over the years, Pioneer, Alpine, Eclipse, Yamaha, Nakamitchi, etc and the Kenwoods take the cake.,

The 622 is a great deck, I put one in my GF's GTI and it is a fantastic deck.

The Excelon series of decks are superior to those as well, typically they have the system EQ built in, 4.5V pre amp outputs, and more.

Also with the Kenwood decks you can later add a Music Keg for massive amounts of MP3 storage at your fingertips. the 622 is also Sirius ready.

I got my 622 for $250 a year ago, floor model at a local Audio store.

WillieTD,

Enjoy your new toy.

Yes, and I already explained why I ordered from Crutchfield: free shipping and I HAVE to have it by next Thursday at the latest. Crutchfield hasn't failed me yet.

BTW, there isn't anywhere to get the particular model cheaper since it's an '04 and Crutchfield is only 1 of 3 places I found that have it in stock.
