That does look like the O2 sensor plug. The O2 sensor is on the y-pipe right after the exhaust manifolds. Just follow the exhaust up to see if you can find the wire.

As a warning, those are kind of a pain in the ass to get too. The wire is supposed to run up right behind the motor.

if tht is not plug would it not allow the explorer to start?
because i tryed to start it earlier and it didnt, then i saw tht unpluged connecter so i was thinking maybe thats the problem

It is the 02 sensor plug. You will need to get under your truck, and look at the exhaust pipe for the 02 sensor. then you will find the other side of the plug.

What colors are the 4 wires?

i got it in
it was the o2 senser. i removed the sencer from the y pipe, connected it to that plug then dropped it down so it was fairly easy but shes still not starting
but i jus noticed i dont hear the whining from the fuel pump before i start it

Check the blue connector near the rear of the driver side front wheel well. That is the fuel pump power harness.

Edit
Also check the 2 connectors right near the alternator.

is it visible in the engine bay? i see three connecters on top and close to the rear of the wheel well, one of wich is blue wires but not connected to anything and i cant find wat connects to it

hmm no luck finding tht blue harness.
previous owner had a bad oil leak so everything black.
ill keep lookin but can u tell me wheres the actual pump so maybe i can follow the wires

It is in the fuel tank, But I have a feeling you bumped something loose, or, forgot to connect it, under the hood.

Do you see the relay box? How does the fuel pump relay look? Does it click?

And
there is a fuel pump cut off switch on the passenger floor board. Look up where your toes would be if you were sitting there. It has a red reset button.

mass air flow sensor connector? - the MAF is the round black plastic thing right after your air box

reposting because original didnt show on my screen

revision::
hahaha should've read better, didnt see you already found the connector. Good Luck :)

aha i think your feeling the same thing im feeling, alot of the conecters clips broke so i would have to check all of the conecters i might have came in contact with.
and i dont know if the relay is out but i defenitly hear a click
and tht anertia switch is connected

ok she started
i dont know wat i did but the fuel pump whinned
but it shock very violently (no kindin it shakes the whole cab)
i had to turn it off after a few secs because im too scarred to let it run like tht.
does tht shaking sound like something foreign might have fell in the combustion chamber during the process of the gasket change?

Edit

Check to be sure all injectors are connected correctly. Also, the driver side firing order is easy to get messed up. Re check that.

they all seem to be in the right place but is it possible tht they could be in the wrong way..like if i have to turn the injector 180* and reinsert it?
when u say fireing order do u mean the ignition wires to the coil could have been put in wrong?
