115,000 miles, 4.0 SOHC Loud noise which I determined was timing chains and tensioners, took it to the dealer, they changed the oil which was overdue, they said noise was better but no oil pressure at idle. They pulled the pan off and found tensioner parts in oil pump, pulled covers off and now they say the Jackshaft has wore a oval where it comes through the block, they claim that's where the oil pressure is going and they said the block is toast. I know them pretty good and they know that I would not get a new motor from them so they are not trying to sell anything. They said they have never heard of this, has anyone else? There are no bearings where it comes through.
Side note; this is a beloved work truck, never serviced like I should have, now paying the price. Let that be a warning.
