Thanks guys! it is still a project! lots of stuff to be done. some lower door jamb rust, interior, etc. It's been a long time since i got the truck, but didn't have the time to start. everything started from my ford bronco2 1988' i got 5-6 years ago. differentials on the bronco were week, and i pulled from the junkyard ford 8.8 and dana 35 ttb out of a explorer, drove it no problem for several years, than i had 2 crashes offroad, so i found this eddie bauer ... now the bronco will be spare parts car. It is hard to find explorers and american trucks in europe in general.. I have been 6 years in the USA so i have american cars sickness :). Nobody here wants and deal with TTB ford stuff because they are rare.. and people are affraid. so they are very cheap if you find them.
The tires are - Journey digger 35/11.5/R15 - they are pretty much chinese- very popular design in europe due to the steep muddy forest terrain.
lots of other manufacturers makes similar pattern. we do have Maxxis and bfgoodrich toyo and all the other famous brands, but they dont seem to offer extreme mud tires (except agricultural of course... but you cannot drive on the road legaly)

So I have to ask, what are the 2 cables from the brush guard to roof rack for?

Very cool looking BII.

They are to help keep brush and tree branches from contacting the windshield

Welcome from another Sport owner.

yes! like BKennedy said, due to the foresty mountain terrain, especially winter time it is very common for low branches etc.
and windshield is very hard to find for American oldies.

Those cables are useful! On our road during winter there are literally hundreds of small alder trees that are constantly falling out of the forest and over the road due to heavy wet and sticky snow. Many of them are just high enough to be out of reach. I carry a small 20v electric chainsaw all winter due to this. It is fun to get covered in snow working over your head to “spring” the trees (knock the snow off)
We are constantly driving under these things and listen as they scrape over the glass and the roof lol lol we call it the l north Idaho car wash”

The cables are huge in saving side mirrors, wipers and windshields
I’m adding them to my Diahatsu road
Machine

Off road every day! Keep up the great work and long live the ttb!
